How do we work?
All administration begins with a preliminary consultation in which we discuss the client's objectives, circumstances and the legal options available.
After the consultation we summarize the options and the next steps in writing. If the client wishes to continue working with us, we credit the consultation fee against the fee for the full administration.
In our experience, more than 90% of clients then stay with us for the full administration – many because it becomes clear to them: in authorization procedures the details and accuracy are of decisive importance.
What do we undertake in residence matters in the case of a comprehensive application?
- Preliminary assessment of the client's situation – what permit they are entitled to, on what legal basis
- Compilation of a document list – step by step, in an understandable format
- Preparation of applications and attachments in Hungarian
- Representation before the authority, appointment scheduling, handling communications
- Provision of missing documentation and legal remedies in the event of a refusal or a partially unfavorable decision
- Ongoing updates on the status of the procedure
Our goal is to ensure the client bears as little administrative burden as possible and that the procedure is transparent and predictable.
Why is it worth hiring an immigration lawyer?
Immigration and alien policing procedures are strictly governed by law, however in individual cases the authority has wide discretionary powers.
As lawyers:
- we are precisely familiar with the authority's practices,
- we know which documents are accepted as evidence,
- we help avoid typical mistakes (incomplete documents, ambiguous statements),
- we save the client time and reduce risk.
How does the cooperation work?

Frequently Asked Questions
It depends on the type of application and the workload of the authority, but generally a decision is made within 2–3 months. In certain compassionate situations – for example pregnancy, involvement of a minor child, or urgent family circumstances – the authority may in practice make a decision more quickly.
In some cases an appeal or judicial review may be requested. Our office will examine whether there is a realistic chance of changing the decision.
